What are Steel cut wire shots?
They are produced by cutting mechanically wires of various chemical composition (steel, copper, aluminium or alloys). The most popular ones are in high mechanical strength carbon steel.
The wire diameter determines the cut wire shot diameter while the rotary cutter blades pitch determines its length. The cut wire shot length is usually equal to the wire’s diameter. Since this product is made up of one size granules and not of a specific granulometric size range, like the ones you can get with cast shots, its use is limited to some applications where the value is crucial.
